Fundraiser 2 - Bunnings 13/09/2025

Today's fundraising stalls at Bunnings Padstow exceeded my expectations. I had hoped for similar to last week, but was blown away by the generosity of a few good men and of course others passing by who put in their loose change or pulled out a fiver (or tenner). I had a couple of nice chats with some sponsors and really enjoyed seeing kids smile and walk away happy with some bracelets, stickers or rubber ducks.

I have lots of bracelets and some more stickers coming, so the plan will be some packs to put out into the community like I did last year and see what comes from them (in terms of donations). Mary was also on hand to keep me company and help set up/pack up. Grateful for the support.

Home Co. fundraising September 6

Fundraising stalls at Home Co. Menai today. I wasn't sure what to expect out of my 4 hours today, but it went pretty successfully I think. I had quite a few kids stop for friendship bracelets and stickers, and this generated some donations from parents who were with them. Had a couple of particularly generous sponsors, while others were more than happy to hand over their change that was clogging up their purses/wallets. Glad to put some smiles on some faces (especially the kids!). About $120 raised from the time spent there so I'm feeling hopefully for next weekend at Bunnings Padstow.

Fundraising days at Home Co Menai and Bunnings

Hi Friends!

This year I've decided to dedicate some more time to the fundraising aspect of GCC by getting out into the community with a couple of fundraising stalls in September.

On Saturday 6th September I'll be at Home Co Menai Marketplace from 10-2pm and on Saturday 13th September I'll be at Bunnings Padstow.

I'll have a little table set up with my fundraising tin, posters, link (QR code) to my online fundraising page and friendship bracelets and stickers to share with generous sponsors.

It would be cool to see some friendly faces 😊
