My Story
This is my sixth year taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge and once again I am keen to challenge myself to raise funds to fight kids cancer! After my massive month last October completing two half everests, this year I am continuing the theme of long stints on the bike with a 24 hour challenge.
Basically I am planning to see how far I can ride if I'm on the bike for 24 hours straight. Date still to be confirmed but I will be picking a 24 hour window where I will be on my bike continuously (minus food/toilet breaks), with a minimum target distance of 400km to be reached (so I might have to ride a little longer if I am slow!). This is going to be a big mental and physical challenge for me, but I am keen to push myself to raise more funds for CMRI.
As with every year, I'm riding and pushing myself physically to support the amazing work that CMRI do to research treatments and cures for kids cancer. As a survivor of cancer I know that no child should have to experience this terrible disease, and as a dad of two wonderful kids I can't imagine what it must be like to have a son or daughter diagnosed with cancer at such a young age. Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support.
