I'm Riding For
Cooper
My 12 year old nephew Cooper was diagnosed with Wilms Tumour in June 2025. Cooper had the tumour and his kidney removed in July at the Children's Hospital Westmead and in August started weekly chemotherapy. You've got this Coop!
My Story
This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia β over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support.
Cheers Terri

Saturday, Sunday Rest Days ~ Days 18 & 19
19 Oct 2025No rides over the weekend, time to sleep in and let the butt recover. π΄
Surprisingly my shins are good. I was in terrible pain during my European trip, just kept pushing through it. Telling myself no pain, no gain! π€¦π»ββοΈ
Itβs an easy flat ride along Parramatta River, but it does get busy on the weekends. This is the reason for not riding. Still anxious about riding around crowds of people, so for now sticking to rides through the week. π

3rd Ride ~ Day 17
19 Oct 2025Sorry for the late updates β°
Friday another 7.6 kms added to the tally, total so far almost 21kms.
Today was 28Β° and cloudy another nice ride along the river walk.
Today I ventured into the armoury grounds, riding past the bunkers and avoiding the train tracks! π
I often walk here but have never done the loop around the bunkers.

1st Ride ~ Day 14
16 Oct 2025I finally sat in the saddle on Tuesday for my 1st ride in this years challenge. Suffering from shin splints, I had a six week break from physical activities. My ride was 5km and the shins held up.
