A challenging morning…

GREAT CYCLING CHALLENGE…a challenge it was!

What a morning….not the morning we wished for, but glad for the help we’ve got and without broken bones!

Only a broken bike 🚲

We were ready to ride this morning when Siska fell and her foot got stuck and I mean really stuck. While Dan is working away, I had to think who could help. I called Kahlina as her husband Jay is a firefighter so I thought that is a good start. They arrived and while Kahlina made it more comfy for Siska, I tried to help Jay and comfort Siska at the same time. Every movement she screamed and was in pain….my poor girl 🥲

Then Jay called his colleagues as it was so much harder then he thought. The fire truck 🚒 rocked up and even an ambulance 🚑. It wasn’t an easy task, but they cut the bike and freed her leg! The ambulance lady checked Siska but surprisingly she was totally fine! No broken bones or bad bruises. So very lucky 🍀 Only we need to find a new bike.

If anyone has a small bike we could borrow for now that would be great. Just so she can still ride to raise money for cancer till she has a new one.

What a stressful morning…..but thank you Kahlina, Jay, the firefighters and the ambulance for taking care of us and for the great outcome 🥰

GREAT CYCLING CHALLENGE 2024

Our first ride is done and dusted!

Siska decided she wanted to ride as well and I’m so super proud of her for riding 13.3km without complaining! Well done my girl.

This is our 6th year and unfortunately more people who we know have been diagnosed with cancer this year and we ride for YOU ALL ♥️

Keep fighting, keep smiling and remember you are not forgotten!

We really hope there will be a cure one day and that’s why we raise money. Money to find a medicine that can help to cure this nasty disease!
