My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why do this challenge? Multiple reasons: it's a great cause, I'm keen to get bike fit again and I need some mental distraction & focus at the moment. It's always better to have purpose for activities & fundraising appeals far more to me than competitive events. We've seen a challenging child cancer case in the extended family, and anything that can be done to solve those problems is worth doing.

Cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

If my fundraising target is met, I'll increase the km target - so make me work for it!!
