My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

    I am starting today in my new jersey, feeling proud of what we've achieved .I was getting close to the klms I said I'd do, and having raised well over the money I said that I would.

    The real bonus was when a man came to us out of the blue and donated 15 dollars . Saying what a worthy cause. Despite the trouble in the world it's refreshing to realise there are some kind people around.I think this jersey will be lucky!

    Riding isn't just exercise it's a mindset and a way to enjoy nature.It makes us appreciate the environment around us.

    Hence, 2 parts of this ride I enjoy is seeing the horses and stopping to smell the lemon centred gums that smell superb.
