My Story
As a parent, I can't imagine what it would be like to hear that your child has been diagnosed with cancer and then watch them face the challenges that come with treatment. It's something no family should ever have to experience.
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the labs at the Children's Medical Research Institute and see firsthand the incredible work their researchers are doing. I came away with a great deal of respect for their passion, dedication, and commitment to improving outcomes for children and their families.
That's why I've decided to take on the Great Cycle Challenge this October. I've pledged to ride 1,000 km during the month while raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute's work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately, finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Sadly, more than 600 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it remains the leading disease-related cause of death in children.
Children should be living life, learning, exploring, and making memories, not fighting cancer.
If you're able to support my challenge, I would be incredibly grateful for a donation. Every contribution helps fund vital research and brings us one step closer to better treatments and brighter futures for children facing cancer.
