I will be riding for my beloved little Soren, who has been lost to childhood cancer.

My Story

This October, I’m taking on the Great Cycle Challenge to raise crucial funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute, and I need your help to fight kids' cancer. This cause is incredibly personal to me, as I ride in memory of my beloved son, Soren.

Soren was a joyful, curious 2-year-old whose smile lit up our world. In 2019, everything changed when he was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite his incredible courage and the love of everyone around him, we lost him. Soren was our light, and he will always live on in our hearts.

No child should have to face cancer, and no family should have to endure the pain of losing one so young. That’s why this October, I’m riding to raise awareness and urgently needed funds to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute. They are doing groundbreaking work to prevent, diagnose, treat, and ultimately find a cure for this devastating disease.

Every kilometre I ride is for Soren, and for the countless children and families who are battling childhood cancer right now. I ride for every parent who has felt the crushing weight of despair, for every child who has had their innocence stolen by this cruel disease, and in memory of my beautiful Soren, whose bravery continues to inspire me every day.

But I can’t make an impact alone. That’s why I’m asking for your support today.

Your donation—no matter how big or small—will go directly to funding life-saving research and treatments. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of children fighting cancer. Let’s give these kids the chance to be kids again—to play, to dream, and to grow up healthy and strong.
