My Story
This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer.
When I was 17, my brother was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain cancer. He was just 18 at the time - at the peak of his health and fitness as a competitive rower and long-distance runner. After three major surgeries, countless rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and every fight he had to give, we lost him at just 20 years old.
That’s why this cause is so close to my heart. Right now, cancer is still the biggest killer of children from disease in Australia. Over 700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 3 die every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am riding and raising funds to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of childhood cancer.
Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page. Every dollar helps fund vital research and gives kids with cancer the brighter future they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.
Thanks for your support,
Eloise
