My Story
This October 2025 , I’m committed to riding in the GCC, for another year as a GCC Rider for my sixth time, to help in fundraising and awareness for Children’s Cancer,
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Three weeks down, One week to go
20 Oct 2025Week 3 Down, and we are into the fourth week of October, riding to fight kids cancer, which means there's still some rides left and more updates, and there's still more opportunity to donate, if you know anyone who might be enthused let them know.
I hope you have enjoyed the ride updates so far with photos of my rides, it's a good way for supporters to join me in my rides, I also post photos and updates on GCCFriendsOfOz FB page and it's been a great year with the riders being supportive of each other all over Australia.
I did receive my 2025 Jersey today, which I'll be wearing and I'll get a photo soon wearing my new jersey and with my bike 😃
We are into the fourth week, and so far we have beaten my set fundraising goal of $600 and I have since increased the amount goal to $1000, we may or may not reach this goal yet we will see.
I have ridden 75% of my ride distance goal , with 25% remaining, which I anticipate I'll complete this week, with updates and photos of course.
Thanks for your support, it makes all the difference, and some of you have supported me every year so far, and others intermittently, all support and donations are appreciated each year, with the children, their families, and medical and research teams, regularly reaching out to offer thanks and gratitude and recognition.
Stay tuned, and enjoy the last week or so, and then it's all over for another year, with this year 2005 being my sixth year so far.
