Mum had plans, so dad was in charge for the day. A day of burgers and some arcade fun was on the cards- the catch was we'd have to make it to Westfield on two wheels. A lovely sunny morning and a quick ride to Westfield to kill some energy and get some fun in before making our way back before the weather turned gloomy.

We woke up to a long weekend and another beautiful day. We took Ros for a walk around the lake on our bikes, and finished our morning walk at the local Cafe for a much needed coffee break for mom.
Mom washed out the driveway while we rested before we rode to the skate park to join a group of Pokemon Go people raid. There we caught some awesome, and shiny Matecross! We then rode home for another break.
After i finished my homework and mom has finished house chores, we once again rode to EmuBank, this time for some dinner.
photo of our dinner by the lake.
All up, I cleared more than 15km across 3 rides.

School holidays - windy but sunny.
1st October - first day of the campaign in technical terms, but we started our rides early this year because the weekend was the start of our school holidays and the weather was beautiful!
Today I stayed home with mom, but Nicky spent his day at daycare. Daddy dropped Nicky off with his bike this morning. Mommy and I cycled to his daycare at the end of the day, and together we cycled home.
We took the longer way there (5.8km) but we took the shorter way home (4.5km) because Nick has shorter legs, a smaller bike and complains a whole lot more...mommy and I covered a bit over 10km for our return trip home.
We stopped along the way to take over some Pokemon gyms, spun some stops and caught some mons - gotta catch em all!
we took a short rest at one of the benches overlooking the lake. Mommy told us how she used to walk me here in the pram so we could enjoy the view togher. It was indeed a beautiful sight.

Warm day and blue skies. We were blessed with another day of beautiful weather. This time, they came along on a ride to help run some errands. We cycled across the lake to grab a quick lunch, had a few runs at the skate park, and went with mom to the Local Metro Woolies to grab some items for dinner.
Journey there and back were largely uneventful

An inviting spring day beckoned and what a better way to spend it than to lap our local lake, Lake Ginninderra. This route has been a staple for the past few years for Kayden, but this year's challenge has been a year of firsts for younger rider Nicholas. The full lap around the lake (10.5km) didn't phase the new contender one bit as he pumped those little legs of his to keep up with his big bro.
A stop by the Belco skate park allowed them to tackle a few slopes and gave them the opportunity to watch some of the older kids demonstrate their skills on the massive half-pipe.
