What an incredible team effort it’s been! I want to give a massive shout-out to my amazing teammates — Herb, Marta, Goshka, Shane, Curtis, and Arnold — for your dedication, energy, and heart in this challenge.
Each of you has gone the extra kilometre — not just by pedalling hard, but by reaching out to your own circles, sharing our story, and inspiring others to stand with us in the fight against kids’ cancer.
As I push my scooter with each stride, and my teammates turn their pedals with purpose, we’re reminded that this challenge isn’t about how we move — it’s about why we move. We ride, stride, and roll together for the kids and families who face battles far tougher than ours.
To everyone who has donated and supported us — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness fuels every stride, every pedal, and every moment of hope.
🙏 Please, help us keep the momentum going — share this page on all your platforms. Every share, every dollar, and every message of support helps give these kids a brighter future.
With deep gratitude and pride,
Adrian & Team of Hope 💙
Hi Team of Hope! 💙
You’re all doing an incredible job — the donations, the kilometres, the spirit — it’s inspiring to see!
Yesterday, I was riding my scooter through the streets of Melbourne and met so many wonderful people. I spoke about each of you to anyone who would listen. Even though I had to jump on the train for part of the trip, I still managed a solid 10 km on the scooter!
To everyone who has donated — thank you sincerely. Your support means the world. I know it can sometimes feel awkward to ask others, but please keep sharing the story — it truly helps these amazing kids and their families. Every share, every word, every kilometre makes a difference.
Thank you all for your incredible effort and heart.
No broken promises! 💪
P.S. I found a broken bike on the street — and it reminded me why we ride.
Get well soon, Dad and Marta! ❤️
Great Effort from our 7 Team members.
My name is Adrian, and last year I rode 1,469 kilometres in the Great Cycle Challenge, raising $3,624 for kids’ cancer research. Thank you to everyone who supported that ride — it was one of the most meaningful journeys of my life. Most of those kilometres were on the Mundabiddi Trail, from Perth to Albany. It was tough — but never as tough as what kids with cancer face every single day.
That challenge came after an unforgettable August 2024, when I rode with my dad Herb from Amsterdam to Bruges and then from Bordeaux to Sète to support Diabetes WA. Soon after, in September, I set off on my own bike Bluey from Roncesvalles to Santiago along the Camino de Santiago, riding all the way to the edge of the world at Finisterre — a journey to find myself and rediscover my strength.
This year, I promised to ride 500 kilometres and raise even more funds for kids fighting cancer. But just weeks before the challenge, life threw me a curveball — I broke my leg while dancing!
Not all kids get the chance to dance, run, or play the way they should. Every day, they’re in the fight of their lives. So even though I can’t complete the ride on my own bike this year, I’m not breaking my promise.
That’s why I created TeamOfHope – No Broken Promises. Together with my family and friends, we’re riding 1,000 km as a team — and if we can, we’ll stretch it to 2,000 km! Every pedal stroke we take is for the kids. Every kilometre logged is another step toward a brighter future for them. And every dollar goes to the incredible team at the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI).
This isn’t just my ride anymore. It’s our ride. A ride of resilience, love, and community.
“So come and join TeamOfHope and help us Kick Cancer’s Butt, together with everyone in the Great Cycle Challenge, for the incredible kids we ride for.” 💙
