I would like to thank all my donators and to say that it has been a pleasure to have taken on this challenge. My last 30km was a windy cycle home which I don't ride in wind like that much anymore. I will keep up my cycling as long as my health allows me and enjoy my surroundings, which, when I cycle I think to myself I could be anywhere in the world at this moment. I have cycled overseas a few times and I love coming home to where I live on the Central Coast. Pelican on the Wyong River. 🥰
It was an exceptionally beautiful day for a cycle and that was exactly what I did. Because of the on again off again rain I have been cycling every possible sunny day where I live. I have other commitments through the week which I had to give up to do my kilometers. While cycling around I decided to have a look at the new section of the shared pathway at Tacoma NSW. There is still a lot of work to be done, but they have finished the section to the sports oval. Even though I have finished my allocated kilometers I will still be continuing until the end of the month. 🥰
I grabbed the opportunity to do an early ride as the weather indicated rain again. Where I live we have been getting quite a bit of rain, but luckily I only have one more ride to do to reach my goal. Also, the wind came up part of the way home. Saturday looks like the next rain free day at the moment. In the meantime I have exercise classes and line dancing with friends and coffee of course. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Cycled out to Berkeley Vale to have a coffee at their cafe, but it wasn't open. I turned around and cycled back to Maccas at Tugerah. By this time I definitly needed a coffee. I then cycled home and on the way I cycled past a woman who was wearing the Great Cycle Challenge free jersey which I should be receiving this week. This is all thanks to my donators. 🚴
This childrens area and BBQ is where the old Tuggerawong Community Hall use to stand.
While the weather has been in my favour I decided to cycle further. Once I had reached Long Jetty (The longest jetty in New South Wales is the Long Jetty, which measures 351 meters (1,152 feet) long) I cycled back to Berkeley Vale for a coffee at a friends cafe. I walked in and a friend of mine was there and neither one of us was expecting this to happen as she lives a lot further away. When I am cycling I think of the kids that may never experience the excitment of riding a bike as I see families with kids on their bikes trying to do the right thing. Also, bird watches along the lake. 🚴🚴🚴🚴
