Well week one done and dusted. Thank you all that have donated. Honestly Blown away by everyone’s generosity for this great cause.
I’ve had some great rides over the last week. The weather has been kind.
Unfortunately now I start night shifts for 7 nights. So the bike is parked up and taking a well deserved rest.
After nights I will have a rest day then head to Yorke Peninsula to start the real challenge of riding around the Peninsula. I’m excited and a little nervous. As the weather and recovery from nights will play a big part on my progress.
Since undertaking this challenge I have read some really sad and inspiring stories about young lives affected by cancer. Long days on the bike you have a lot of time to reflect and think about all these stories.
If I have learnt anything I think that getting up and riding the bike is hardly a challenge compared to what some kids and their family’s have and are still going through.
So shut up,toughen up and push on. If it was easy it wouldn’t be THE GREAT CYCLE CHALLENGE.
Thanks all 👍
