It’s been 7 years since I’ve been given the all clear stable non progressive “cured” from stage IV GBM 2 month prognosis. Oops let’s have another closer look by a very reliable source sorry wrong 5 year prognosis with conventional treatment it’s a stage III Asrtrocytoma. Sorry about the mix up not the “terminator” It’s my 5th year riding for the gcc great cycle challenge. I feel by giving back it’s prolonged my own life and helped to prolong many others. As I finished my ride commitment this year something didn’t feel right like glass inside my stomach churning and spinning so on my way to work a few weeks ago ai stopped into the hospital and had some scans done. I had gal stones and an infection in my gallbladder which meant it would need to come out. Go ahead I can get by without it right? I’m 2 weeks into recovery and managed to get a couple short rides in just to punctuate that I’m never too beaten up to ride for those less fortunate than me. I consider myself lucky turning 50 next year and plan to meet my grandkids someday not that it’s a rush. Thank you so much gcc and see you soon again next year no doubt🫶🏻🙏🏼👙💪🏼
