Hi all, the calendar aficionados amongst you will note that Rocktober has ended and we are now into Slovember, the slovenly time of year. How have I gone with my challenge? Well the mathematical aficionados (possibly some Venn diagram cross-over there) will note that I have I cycled 768.5km in October, a shortfall from my target of 231.5km. This is obviously somewhat disappointing, but entirely explained by my illnesses earlier in the month.
I have recovered really well in the second half and zoomed through 473km just from the 21st to the 31st of the month, with some exciting rides through to the northern reaches of Fawkner and Heidelberg, and the through the lands of the oppressed burghers of Brighton.
Thank you so much for your contributions! I will keep riding, and hopefully you will still be able to see my upcoming rides here for a while longer as I get to 1000km in the next few days. Enjoy!
Hi all! Was briefly (as it turns out) somewhat okay last Sunday to do the 100km Around the Bay, but I am still unwell and will need to take a few more days off the bike. Unlikely to get to 1000km but will do what is within capability!
Hi folks- so I am still quite unwell. Tried to ride this morning but it was then that it hit me how sick I am- so I will be taking a few days off the bike, and may struggle to get near 1000km. But never fear- the journey goes on!!
Two rides so far. Have had a bad cold earlier in the week.
