What have we already achieved together?
So far we've pedalled 1,011,861km and raised an incredible $3,148,326 (so far) to fight kids' cancer!
But there's still 4 days to go...
So let's BRING IT HOME STRONG and give it one LAST PUSH this week for these brave kids and their families! 💪

Week 2️⃣ Done ✅! Raising above the pain and pushing forward and upwards. Making good headway this year with 1️⃣7️⃣0️⃣ kilometers ridden 🚴🏼♂️💨💨 and will feel great once I hit the 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣km mark this coming week. Lots of cyclists out this weekend.. there must be something in the water 💦. Safe travels everyone.

Slightly different strategy this year. Cycle hard on days under 28c, I will thank my future self for this approach come the end of the month. Cumulative an average of 15km a day to get ahead and bank a rest day. Day 1️⃣ allowed me to clock in 28km. Plenty of wind about, so the legs and bum are already feeling it but I’m nowhere near the shape I need to be for this GCC. For now, Rest up and go early tomorrow morning .
With just nine days until my Great Cycle Challenge kicks off, I’m busy getting ready for the journey ahead! This October, I’ll be cycling 300 kilometers to raise funds for children battling cancer.
Today was all about bike maintenance. I gave my bike a thorough wash, replaced the tubes, and lubricated all the moving parts and gears to ensure it’s in top shape before taking the bike out for a short ride. (Lite spin of 6.6km) It’s amazing how a little care can make such a difference!
As I prepare, I’m reminded of the resilience of young cancer patients. Every kilometer I pedal will be a tribute to their strength and a step toward funding research and support for those in need.
