What a remarkable month. The support I’ve received had been awesome and huge contribution in achieving a best result in the 5 years Ive been riding the Great Cycle Challenge.
As a result, $5005 has been raised in support of the Children’s Medical Research Institute to continue the battle against childhood cancer.
Thanks again
Dave
This is my final ride of the 2025 challenge. The support I’ve had has enabled me to beat all previous fund raising achievements.
I just hit $5,000 to fight kids' cancer! Thank you so much for your support.
This ride achieves my revised ride distance target. What a day with the unpredictability of Melbournes weather though maybe predictable would be more appropriate.
A heavily o’cast and coolish morning greeted us at Queenscliff to board the ferry to Sorrento. The ride commenced on disembarking with much anticipation from the hundreds of riders participating in the Around the Bay event.
No rain for the first 25kms then steady rain until about the 90kms mark. Then just to taunt us the sun shone brightly.
The support over the last month has been exceptional and the CMRI has benefited with $4731 from your donations. I feel privileged to be part of it.
Apollo Bay to Torquay not as tough as yesterday’s ride but still had some challenging climbs. Very much followed the coastline with some outstanding scenery and ocean views.
Today was my most challenging ride so far. The distance and especially the climbing was well in excess of anything I had recently tackled. However I’m quickly closing the gap to my revised distance target.
